Around The Block is owned by Carol L. Lynam with working partner, Karen K. Sells. Carol and Karen are long time neighbors which was the inspiration for the name of the company. It was started in July 2003 to enhance services to the quilting community and shorten the waiting time quilters had to get their quilts completed. Carol and Karen took classes at Linda Taylor’s Electric Quilters training center at Melissa, TX in February of 2003. This enhanced their enthusiasm to provide a much needed service by doing what they enjoy. After a great deal of study and machine investigating, a trip ensued to Columbia Missouri to visit the Statler manufacturing company.
